Welcome to my Journal!!!

R u just starting out in the field of jewelry designing and are confused by the millions of materials and information that is available on the net?.... yeah... I know the feeling. But, I am also honored to be a part of this generous and sharing community who have put in so much of effort to teach and share what they know. Well.... this is my attempt to share my knowledge. Everyone advises that an artist should have a journal to document everything that he/she does in order to capture those tiny details so that u can go back and refer to it in future. I love that idea, but I decided to do it online so that I can access it from anywhere and at the same time, anyone who's interested can peep into my notes as and when they wish. I also believe that hands on practice is the best way to learn and this blog is going to be my ongoing journal of all that I try out (I am yet to find MY medium... so am gonna try the whole lot... traditional beading, bead crochet, wirework, wire knitting, wire weaving, metal work, metal clay, polymer clay and whatever else I can learn).... the process, the tips that strike me, my a-ha moments, the mistakes I did and how I worked around it, books I enjoyed, techniques I learnt, useful videos on youtube, links to online tutorials, my thoughts on tutorials I purchased.... everything that I feel is helping me in acquiring and toning my skills. I also hope that others would find something of value to learn from my journal :)

This is going to be one of those blogs that gets posted in infrequent intervals as it is not easy to take notes on a computer as u r working on the bench and with a 11 month old kid, sitting with the computer everyday to copy my notes again doesn't seem viable. So I am thinking of taking notes separately and updating the blog in one go maybe once in a week or so. So please bear with me and hope u visit back often to check my latest updates.

Happy jewelry designing!!!
